You will need skill and experience in several building trades, your own tools, and a presentable van or truck.  We don’t expect anyone to have mastered all trades or to have every last tool.  But we do require you to be very good at the skills you claim.  We’ll be sending you into our customers’ homes, so orderly and safe work habits are necessary.

Equally important is the matter of customer service skills.  You have to be able and willing to listen to the customer and understand what they want.  If what they want really isn’t what they need, you have to be able explain the difference so that they can make informed choices.  Your work should have the least possible impact on their routine.  Being on time is mandatory.

Computer ability and access are helpful.

We screen prospective employees with several background checks: a drug test, driving and court records and credit reports.
